Elissa Donovan brings a lot to the table
for V & V—and not just because she’s the only
member with a license to rescue scuba dive or with culinary
certification. Elissa has a long history of art-related experience.
She received her undergraduate degree in Discovery-Based Art
Education from the University of Cincinnati and her master’s
degree from Miami University in Child-Centered Art Education.
Elissa is now the Head of Fine and Performing Arts at Seven
Hills School. She previously served as an art teacher at Mercer
Elementary, where one of her responsibilities was teaching disabled
students.
As an artist, she focuses on 3-D ceramics
and metals, and has donated some of her works and time to other
non-profit art organizations besides V & V. Elissa has been
a member of V & V since 2006, and serves as Program Committee
chairwoman. She likes being a part of Visionaries and Voices
because she enjoys the feeling that it’s one big family,
and also the ability to touch the artists’ lives. Elissa
is a resident of Kennedy Heights.
