Bill Ross attributes art as to having
saved his life. After having co-founded V & V in 2003, Bill
is still actively involved in the organization today, often
volunteering his time and efforts to work with the artists first-hand,
and curating the exhibits. “Working with people with disabilities
has only amplified how important art can be for people who wish
to document what they feel, think and understand about themselves
and or the world,” Bill said.
Bill has been a Service Facilitator for
the Hamilton County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental
Disabilities since 1999. He’s worked with people with
disabilities since 1989. Bill hopes to serve as a full-time
V & V volunteer when he retires.
Bill is also an artist and his paintings
have been showcased all over Cincinnati, Columbus, Indianapolis,
and Chicago. Bill enjoys V & V because it is a merge of
art and advocacy. He loves the community within the studios,
and strives to ensure the artists of V & V are viewed as
artists above all else.
