Barry Davis

About Barry
Christian Saints and other leaders in world peace are an inspiration to Barry Davis and play a significant role in his art. A former florist, Davis often intertwines his figures with botanicals including fruits, flowers and herbs, uniting everything in swirls of color and dark outlines. The results are illustrations which evoke the look of stained glass. In 2010 Come Follow Me, a book of saints, was published. Following the classic format, this book contains illustrations of 25 saints completed by Barry accompanied by descriptive text written by his sister, a religion teacher. His saints and world figures also grace the wall in a large mural outside of St. Leo's Church in Cincinnati, a commission completed in 2010.
