Brianne Crable

About Brianne
Brianne Crable is an abstract painter whose work is inspired by her favorite Celtic music. Often Brianne listens to a number of songs, then when inspiration hits, she fills her canvas with broad strokes of color and a wide range of values. Her artwork overflows with movement that grabs the viewer much like the artist DeKooning. She sees images that she translates in her mind as color and creates what she sees with acrylic paint on large panel boards. She listens to music and translates the notes and lyrics into large, sweeping brush strokes of bright colors. Often working in a series, Brianne?s square studies show her capacity for variation on a simple theme. Other themes that she has explored in her work are birds, the ocean and Jackie Chan.


Exhibitions
Her first solo exhibition was in July/August 2011 at RSVP Services in Northern Kentucky and her work has been featured in several group shows around Cincinnati.
