Joel Whitaker

J.W. has maintained a working style that keeps him among the most productive of artists at the V&V studios. He paints four days per week at the Tri-County studio and is supported at home as he works there as well. Joel reminisces about his family and the time they spent traveling in an RV across the country. All of his impressionistic landscapes are memories of places he has been or places he would like to see. Using acrylic on panel or canvas he will accurately depict stunning visuals of nature?s beautiful landscapes. He seems driven toward perfection in every piece and contemplates methodically every brushstroke. The results are evident to the viewer as they respond immediately in wonder or in recognition of the places that J.W. depicts in his paintings.

Joel's work has been exhibited at the V&V Tri-County studio?s 2 year Anniversary Celebration, in the V&V Northside Gallery Exhibit of ?Wild Life: Animals, Landscapes and Skin?, and is currently exhibited in ?Work Hard Think Smart.? J.W. has had several solo exhibitions, in addition to the Indian Hill Art show in 2008, and, most recently, won an ?Honorable Mention? award at the Rose Center for the Art juried show in Morristown, Tennessee.
