Kevin White

Kevin White has his own space in the V&V Northside studio that he created and that is supported by the V&V staff. Currently he has been engaged in found object sculpture and painting. He incorporates pop cans, cardboard, fabric and other materials into pieced together arrangement in 2 and 3 dimensional art. His work maintains an entirely cohesive visual and is growing in volume and structure. His sculpture/mixed media has taken a top priority over the past few months, as has his specifically organized arrangement of elements within each piece. His process toward color selection has changed toward earth tones as opposed to bright fluorescents. He is increasingly encouraged by staff at V&V to make more efforts toward self determination by clearly communicating his ideas in his way. He requires less support from staff in this regard and is shows no signs of slowing down.

Kevin?s works have been exhibited widely during the past year, including one-man shows at AVS Gallery, Joseph Williams Homes, Over the Rhine Chamber of Commerce. His work has also been exhibited at Essex Studios, Base Gallery, Designsmith Gallery, Fitton Center for Creative Arts, ArtWorks, University Gallery at Sycamore, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Visionati I and II, Algin Furniture, Miami University in Middletown, Slotin Folk Festival in Atlanta, Ga; and in every exhibit at V&V?s Northside Gallery. His work has been featured in City Beat and in Folk Art Messenger.
